Can you present the Young Talent Initiative?

The Young Talent Initiative, established by LuxReal, focuses on fostering the professional growth and engagement of young professionals in Luxembourg’s real estate sector. Launched by the LuxReal Board and spearheaded by David Syenave alongside the rest of the board, the initiative provides platforms for networking, mentorship, innovation, and career development to support and empower emerging professionals.

Through the Young Talent Committee, the initiative offers access to a broad network that includes various stakeholders in the real estate value chain. The LuxReal Young Talents Board, representing the new generation of professionals, aims to bring fresh energy and innovative ideas while connecting with like-minded peers—the leaders of tomorrow.

Why was it important to set it up in the LuxReal context? What objectives does it pursue?

Establishing the Young Talent Initiative was essential in the LuxReal context to meet the industry's growing demand for skilled and forward-thinking professionals. The initiative’s objectives include creating tailored events and learning opportunities, bridging the gap between industry leaders and young talents, encouraging innovation and collaboration, and supporting career progression. These efforts contribute to a vibrant, resilient, and competitive real estate sector in Luxembourg.

How is it organized? How do you operate?

The Young Talent Committee follows a structured approach, comprising several dedicated working groups, each focused on a specific area: events, academy, marketing & communications, membership, and governance. This flat organizational structure ensures regular collaboration and monthly exchanges with the LuxReal Board, allowing for quick decision-making and strong alignment.

Each working group plays a crucial role:

  • The events group organizes exclusive networking opportunities and future-focused initiatives.
  • The academy group runs insightful workshops, builds partnerships with universities, and manages the mentorship program with experienced professionals.
  • The marketing and communications group oversees social media and external communication while supporting the other teams.
  • This framework fosters continuous learning, professional growth, and a strong network that meets the diverse needs of young professionals in the Luxembourg real estate landscape.

Why is it important for young real estate talent to take part in this initiative?

Participating in the Young Talent Initiative offers countless benefits. From customized training and hands-on workshops to targeted networking opportunities, the program equips young professionals with the skills and connections necessary for accelerated career development.

Beyond technical growth, the initiative exposes participants to cutting-edge ideas and industry trends, encouraging a future-oriented mindset. It creates a supportive environment in which young professionals can thrive, contribute meaningfully, and become proactive drivers of change in the sector.

Joining the initiative means becoming part of a vibrant, collaborative community—one that champions innovation, learning, and mutual success.

As members of the committee, how do you intend to contribute? As a young talent, what's in it for you?

As committee members, we take an active role in shaping and implementing programs, facilitating relationships with senior professionals, and promoting the initiative within our networks. We also aim to be approachable figures and role models for fellow young talents—always ready to help and answer questions.

On a personal level, this experience is incredibly enriching. We are nine professionals from diverse backgrounds and companies, each gaining valuable insights and skills beyond our day-to-day roles. Tasks such as event planning, budgeting, and project coordination enhance our competencies and allow us to contribute meaningfully to the sector.

Perhaps most rewarding is the opportunity to build something from the ground up. Being involved from the very beginning enables us to shape structures, introduce our own ideas, and leave a lasting mark on this initiative. It’s an exciting journey of learning, connecting, and co-creating the future of Luxembourg’s real estate industry.
