Samya, can you explain to our community what the mentoring programme is all about?

The LuxReal Young Talents Mentorship Programme is a forward-thinking initiative aimed at fostering meaningful connections between generations in the Luxembourg real estate sector. By pairing seasoned professionals with emerging talents, the programme facilitates a structured exchange of knowledge, experience, and insights. More than a traditional mentoring model, this initiative is designed to support mutual growth: mentees benefit from expert guidance, while mentors gain fresh perspectives and renewed industry engagement.

The programme runs from October 2025 to June 2026, with the following timeline:

1.      Matching Process (July - September 2025): We’ll match mentors and mentees based on interests, background, and sector diversity.

2.      Kickoff Event & Guidelines (October 2025): Join our in-person Young Talent Event, where all participants will meet, connect, and receive a practical mentorship guide (exact date will be communicated at later stage).

3.      Execution (October 2025 - June 2026): Mentors/mentee will decide how often and how they would like to meet (virtually or in person).

What challenges does the programme address?

The mentorship programme addresses key challenges faced by young professionals entering the real estate industry, including:

  • Limited access to experienced industry leaders.
  • A narrow understanding of the sector’s diversity and complexity.
  • The need for structured guidance to support career development.

By fostering intergenerational dialogue, the programme aims to broaden participants’ perspectives, accelerate their professional growth, and ensure that young professionals are equipped to contribute meaningfully to their organisations.

Why should young professionals and mentors participate?

For young talents, the mentorship offers practical industry knowledge and strategic career guidance, a platform to ask questions, explore ideas, and refine their ambitions and, finally, opportunities to build a professional network through the LuxReal association and mentor/mentees connections.

For mentors, the programme provides a chance to shape the future of the industry by supporting emerging talent, access to fresh ideas and new viewpoints from younger professionals, opportunities to reflect on their own career journey and leadership approach.

At its core, the programme encourages a mutual exchange that enriches both mentor and mentee, reinforcing a culture of collaboration and lifelong learning.

How can young talents join the programme?

The program is free of charge and open to all LuxReal supporting members Young professionals affiliated with LuxReal supporting members are invited to participate by completing theinterest survey. Afterwards we will identify suitable matches based on professional goals and areas of interest.

How can mentors get involved, and what is expected of them?

Mentors can also register during the survey period. We will carefully match mentors and mentees, prioritising diversity in experience, background, and sector.

Mentors are expected to share their professional insights and guidance in a respectful and confidential setting, encourage constructive dialogue and support mentees in achieving their goals, help broaden mentees’ understanding of the industry and introduce them to relevant networks.

Embrace a relationship where both mentors and mentees learn from each other regular engagement, openness, and a genuine interest in supporting the next generation are key to a successful mentoring relationship.
