Iconic building - Years 1970 to 2000
The National Sports and Cultural Center “Coque” in Luxembourg-Kirchberg is an architectural landmark of modern design. Created by renowned French architect Roger Taillibert, the building is defined by its iconic curved, shell-shaped concrete roofs that inspired its name (“Coque” = Shell). First opened with its Olympic swimming pool in 1982 and completed with further extensions in 2002, the center today spans around 60,000 m².
It unites under one roof a large aquatic center with different pools, a multifunctional arena, several halls for federational sports, wellness and fitness facilities, a “high-performance training and recovery center” for Luxembourg's elite athletes, a climbing wall, conference and event locations, as well as a hotel and the restaurant “la coquille”. In addition, the Coque hosts more than 60 national and international events per year.

Iconic building - Years 2000
The Philharmonie Luxembourg, inaugurated in 2005 and designed by architect Christian de Portzamparc, has become one of the most iconic architectural landmarks of Luxembourg. Its striking façade of 823 white columns creates a sense of transparency and movement, while the building’s acoustically refined concert halls have earned international acclaim.
More than just an architectural masterpiece, the Philharmonie is a cultural beacon, hosting world-class orchestras, artists, and events that enrich Luxembourg’s cultural landscape and affirm its place on the global stage.

Iconic building - Years 2010
One on One takes its name from its location in Luxembourg City, at 1 Route d’Esch, on the corner of Rue des Jardiniers. Behind an impressive glass and stainless-steel façade, the building offers 5,500 m² of total surface across six above-ground floors and three basement levels. It features 3,000 m² of office space for lease, 154 m² of terraces, 26 parking spaces, as well as technical rooms and archive facilities.
Despite the constraints of a compact, angular plot, generous interiors have been created by transferring the load-bearing elements to the façades. The absence of visible structural supports provides open, flexible office floors, while cantilevered offsets rest on a non-linear steel framework of 260 tons of steel, spanning six kilometers. Its execution required the combined expertise of Moreno Architecture & Associés, engineering teams, and developer IKO, whose close collaboration ensured the project’s success.
